Olga Ova (1994) is a Czech-Russian figurative painter born in Siberia, living and working in Oslo, Norway.
A figure interests me more as a landscape than a portrait, the only territory that travels with me, that holds everything I’ve felt. I paint figures so the body on the canvas has the same weight as the one standing in front of it. I work without a plan, following the impulse until it becomes a shape I recognize. I’m painting what the body keeps accumulating in a life.
